As winter settles over the Midlands, we’re reflecting on an incredibly rewarding May - filled with achievements, community moments, and exciting growth for the R&R team.

Celebrating Our Top Agents

In May, we hosted our Annual Awards Lunch at the stunning Bosch Hoek Golf & Country Estate. It was a pleasure to honour the incredible contributions of our team, with special recognition for:

Paul Eaton and Pippa Bowman for outstanding performance

Hayden Ventress, our youngest agent, showing remarkable promise

• The Johannesburg team, who travelled to celebrate with us

We also warmly welcomed Sam Eaton, our newest candidate agent, into the fold.

Community Highlights

We were proud to take part in the Midlands Night Market, where we connected with local residents and celebrated our vibrant community. The event was a fantastic success, and we’re already looking forward to the next one in July.

We’re also excited to attend the upcoming Spar-sponsored Art in the Country - KwaZulu-Natal’s premier art exhibition - taking place from 22 to 25 May at Harrington House, Hilton. It’s a wonderful showcase of local talent, and we can’t wait to support and explore the creativity on display.

 Coffee & Community

Our team has kicked off a new initiative to explore the coffee culture of our area. Our first stop was the brand-new Rampant Lion café, located at Howick High School. It’s a warm and welcoming spot with great coffee and a strong community spirit - highly recommended if you’re in the area. You can follow them on Instagram at shorturl.at/wBOlO

We’ll be continuing our coffee shop journey through Howick and the surrounding areas, so follow us for more highlights and reviews.

We’re proud to share that R&R Real Estate is now listed on Rightmove, the UK’s leading property portal. As one of the few South African agencies on the platform, we’re showcasing our stunning Midlands retirement and lifestyle properties to international buyers - enhancing exposure for our sellers and creating fresh opportunities for global interest.

Midlands Property Market Update

Both Howick and Pietermaritzburg remain active, especially in the R1.2 million to R2.5 million price bracket. Secure estates, family homes, and lifestyle properties continue to attract steady demand.

June Outlook:

We foresee strong buyer activity continuing through June. Interest rates have stabilised, making it an ideal time to list your property. Buyers should move swiftly, as desirable homes are being snapped up.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Whether you're planning to move, invest, or simply stay informed, the R&R Real Estate team is here to support you with local knowledge, care, and professional guidance.
